The Mediterranean climate, obviously, takes its name and is largely completed by the proximity of the sea the same name.

The key points of the Mediterranean climate are dry, hot summers, mild winters with variable rainfall and sunshine for something like this in more than 300 days and the lack of frost.

No wonder that many people in cold northern climates come to live here. Not only the European snow birds, but there are plenty of even those from the other side of the Atlantic.

In this part of Spain has many outstanding places to life and sailing.

Marbella, Puerto Banus, Marbella, Cabopino and Sotogrande just to name a few.

The short spring and long autumn seasons tend to merge together to form lightly one season no real winter season.

The mountain ranges are much cooler than the plains and have a higher rainfall with some snow in winter. The mountains of Sierra Nevada, above 3000 meters, are covered with snow for much of the year.

There is a very considerable difference in climate between the inland and coastal parts of Andalusia.

Near the temperature sea, they tend to be more temperate in winter and cooler in the interior during the summer months. During the months of November to February temperatures inland areas have lower often fall several degrees below zero, but then there are also very hot during the summer months.
