Spanish real estate market update

According to the National Institute Spain Statistics (INE) the fall in property sales may be coming to an end. Based on the latest figures for July (link below), a total of 37,079 real estate transactions in the month, of which 33,694 were standard sales and 3345 were housing (VPO).
As VPO sales not for a moment, is ie a decrease of 19.6% year on year. Not necessarily a good figure, but compared to earlier this year has been a marked improvement in the level of sales increased 5.8% months months. Finally some positive news!
In another interesting note to look at the figures for Spain, of the total properties sold 18,688 new properties were completed and 18,351 were for resale. This is the first time in recent years that both categories have reached parity. In general, the new properties have a higher percentage of the total last year, due to the rise of off plan property in recent years. But with dwindling on flat sales boom on the left to go to completion, this figure should continue to decrease and re-sale in case of a modified form the majority.
But this does not mean that no new build more sales. There are still many promotions in the market is looking for buyers. Therefore, we expect that the figure continue to decline, since the construction of new best properties will be sold first, and the less popular the price will keep falling until there is demand. Although I can be wrong in this matter and the construction of new figure could suddenly plunge to almost nothing! It is unlikely, but it remains a possibility.
Now, for a bit of good news for us here in Andalusia. Of the total of 37,039 properties sold in Spain, 7898 were in Spain. That 21.1% of the total. Or 1 in 5 of all goods sold in Spain!
Thus, although the numbers are better in July than in June, year after year, are still down. And, of course, 2007 appears below. But if this trend continues, could soon see the end of this long dark tunnel
