Moving to Spain, living in Spain as a businessman and an ex-Pat!

Sometimes life can say a little strange at times, and in many ways is not necessarily good to know exactly what the future holds, I think it would take the fun out of it!

This is my own personal experience have moved from the UK to start a new life in Spain.

My background is Spanish as their first language, having been brought up in South America. We moved to the UK in 1991, where I settled and started to make a life for myself, at the age of seventeen who is all extremely exciting but daunting, at the same time.

In the coming years I had built a successful career in telecommunications sales, married very young, bought a two bed semi with garden and had a new car in the driveway and slowly entering the "keep up with the Joneses mentality." Not quite the 2.4 children to go with him, but he had a dog. Life was good, fast motorcycles, flying lessons and a nice house, nice life huh? Well, not all, had not one thing missing, and in my experience looking back in recent years, in my opinion, is probably one of the most important parts missing, which is the quality of life. All expensive hobbies only creates a need for more work, more hours and leaving less time to enjoy them and only adding more and more financial pressure.

My parents have decided that the climate in south Wales was not enough for his liking, he decided to up sticks and move to Spain. Finally settled in the village of Mijas whitewash on the Costa del Sol, Andalusia.

Not having been to Spain before, I followed all the news from them for our weekly phone conversations was what a beautiful area of the Costa del Sol was amazing how long and how much cheaper is the cost of living.

Eventually, curiosity got the better of me and I booked a flight straight Easy jet from Liverpool to Malaga. A few hours later, had landed on Spanish soil was then I realized I had forgotten much of my Spanish, I would think, but the brain of the involvement of the mouth where it all went a bit wrong, lock me language and feeling a bit silly as Spanish is intended to be my first language!

Minor language barriers and unfamiliarity with the area and everything else soon forgotten, in other words, I was hooked! For the same reasons my parents had told me, I felt much this is the way of life for me, good for us but I still had to tell my long-suffering wife, who had begun quite fun finding what I'm going out with next! I went back to the UK a person strengthened, full of enthusiasm and a zest for life had not seen before.

He soon had another run back to Spain, this time together and she soon became where he came from and why my ideas were not so far-fetched, and realize that life is too short to become "stuck" down stupid things, life passes us by too quickly not to enjoy it.

We continue our regular trips to Spain on a weekly basis, living in the United Kingdom, Monday through Friday and spending every weekend on a small farm he had rented in Alhaurin El Grande, about 20 minutes from Fuengirola.

A few months We decided that Spain was our destination, we seek jobs and soon were given good opportunities to work in Spain, the next part is probably more terrifying, all at once, your dream and all the talk about this big step, it becomes a reality. In principle, it is very exciting, in fact, is very scary!

We decided to sell absolutely everything we had worked so hard for, cars, motorcycles, house, furniture and everything that could be settled.

D-day came and go all systems! We set out to start our adventure and our new life in the sun! Loaded vehicle, the dog in the car (with the passport for dogs) and an indescribable sense of excitement and fear.

We have completed the unit in record time very much (to keep all speed limits, of course) and arrived at our rented farm on the outskirts of Alhaurin el Grande, the place we call home, and over the next six months anyway.

Get tape of life can sometimes be much harder to get on it to start. We find it difficult to curb the Spanish way of life, we recognize that if were to succeed in our journey, we must be those which would have to change, there was no way to change the world. The novelty of a relaxed lifestyle, and all the incredible things Spain has to offer soon began taking for granted the incredible scenery, watching the sunset over the medicine, walking the promenade in Marbella, as well as beautiful Sunday afternoon stroll in the forest at El Refugio del Juanar between Monda and Marbella.

The summer came and went, we were once again "stuck" down with work and travel to the UK on a regular basis, we will the slippery slope back to the UK again.

As winter began to set in, well, we call it winter despite the temperature never falls below a pleasant spring evening in the UK, our minds were set, we will return to the United Kingdom. We did a million and one excuses that we go through reasons why it would be the best move for us. A few months later we were back in sunny Spain and the two new starting job. Was this the end of our dreams? Was a hell !!!!!!! Novelty to be back "home", all the curious who wanted to talk to us and find out what had gone so badly soon disappeared, I think probably lasted more than two weeks before it was back to life as we once knew. The daily routine, finding a new home buying, buying a new car and in fact investing as much as he had done less than a year earlier.

As weeks turned into months, realizing what we had left behind and what an opportunity impressive were letting slip through the hands of pure lease and not continue the fight, nobody said it was easy.

We were in the midst of buying another home in the UK when it was decided that Spain was where we really wanted to be, all things that we missed from home were things of the past that really could not reproduce and should not be reproduced, we soon realized that only tend to remember the best moments of things as they were choosing to forget the drawbacks.

Returned Spain with a different attitude and this was the key to our success, we have integrated with the community (local and expatriate). I continued my career as a realtor and have had the privilege to help hundreds of families in the beginning of his new life in the sun and is a real privilege and an honor to be part of such an important part of life someone. target = "_blank"> Euro Property Spain will help with every part of their movement, we made the move and know that it takes guts and courage to this big step in life, we are always happy to share our experience with you in a professional and personal capacity as I have done my own share personal experience.
