All dogs hairdressers. Please, can you advise?

I live in Spain in a rural village in Andalusia. There are many English people moving here now and all are saying they really miss having a good dog groomer. The facilities here are only local vets just shave dog hair were not enough. I've looked to do a course so I could start my own business. There are several offered in Malaga, but are quite expensive (€ 1400). They are only 10 days of courses and my question is Can I receive the necessary training and learn the proper techniques in just 10 days? It seems a bit exaggerated for me. I can only assume that hairdressers have been trained dogs much more than that. All offer a diploma upon completion of the course – but worth the paper it is written in. Thanks in advance

It would probably give a good overview of how to groom dogs but I think I would do a little research and see if there are any other courses in your area. Ten days seems a bit short. Generally, these courses last at least 6 / 8 weeks, some much longer. When you think of hairdressers having to train for at least three years before they are released on a client, I wonder if you have enough tuition and hands on experience to actually start their own business. It's a bunch of cash to fork out unless you are really sure. Good luck in your new business.
