Andalucian Accent

What city would be better for a Spanish language study abroad program in Spain? Madrid or Granada?
I am torn between the two cities in Madrid because I have close friends who met on a previous trip to Spain. Also, my host family lives in that trip Talavera de la Reina, a city an hour from Madrid. I've been to Madrid, but I've never been to Granada. I think Granada has more culture than Madrid Madrid is a melting pot because foreigners. In addition, Granada is much smaller than Madrid and I would feel less intimidated. However, in Granada Andalusian accent is more difficult to understand that the stress of Madrid. What city would you suggest and why?
I personally would go to Madrid, because I like big cities because there is more to see and meet more people and Grenada, as you said is much smaller than Madrid. But that's my personal preference. It seems they want to go to Madrid for the people there, but as a place that prefers go to Granada.
