The whole world is one place

Extending from Nerja in the east to Sotogrande in the west, the Costa del Sol now enjoys good road communications between the major cities along several of the coast. This allows a pair of Marbella, for example, to visit the Cervantes of Malaga and then enjoy traditional tapas the historic city center. Or a group of Torremolinos join the fun along the promenade of Fuengirola.

In theory, that is because usually not all like to venture far from their territories in charge – either because no one in the party who is willing to volunteer to conduct duties and therefore not drinking (public service transport costs are large and efficient during the day and early evening, but there is after midnight, with the exception of taxis) or simply because they are happy is on familiar ground.

There are, however, one exception: Benalmádena, in particular the port and the Plaza Solymar, which have become options favored nightlife and trendy for young (and young at heart) of the Costa.

Just 15 years ago, the port was just that: a port or marina, home to ships and sailors. Residents and visitors could take a leisurely Sunday stroll along the beach of La Carihuela, or down of Arroyo de la Miel stroll through the beautiful sea-going vessels and the dream of lifting the anchor and sailing off to the Caribbean – before waking up, returning to reality, in search of a kiosk rejuvenation ice-cream, then change of residence to Benalmadena Costa for more important refreshments.

Many things have changed. First, the new apartments took shape, then some bars, restaurants and shops open. Next came the special attractions such as Sealife – apartments and gradually more (all tastefully designed in the commune with the Mediterranean atmosphere of the area), bars, restaurants, shops and lively. Puerto Benalmádena became the place where go on a Friday and Saturday night – and even on weekdays in summer. And for those who occasionally want a little change of scene (but not the location) it was always the Plaza Solymar 24 hours on the main road through Benalmadena Costa, a popular recreation area launched the weekend revelry even before the port came into existence.

If all this sounds a bit stressful for those with discriminating tastes less frenetic, it must be said that the port – and Benalmadena Costa, in general – not just about noisy nightclubs and after-hours clubs. There are piano and flamenco bars to dance. jazz bars and other bars live music where you can relive the 60s and 70s. O terraces where you can enjoy a beer or a refreshing cocktail while the Spanish favorite pastime: watching the world go. And then, of course, There are other entertainment services of the city a little further.

In Arroyo de la Miel in Benalmadena Pueblo to reach the amusement park Tivoli World has become an institution Costa del Sol – and not just for children. The rides and attractions are unparalleled anywhere on the coast, Tivoli, but offers more. Stage live performances in the streets of western Andalusia and carried out throughout the afternoon and evening, and many of the best singers in Spain and groups have performed at the amphitheater.

After entertainment for a little more refined, is the Torrequebrada Hotel and Casino, once on the road from the coast towards Fuengirola. This unique resort, the only five-star hotel in the region, offers multiple services in the style of great hotels in Las Vegas. Magic Chamber of Fortuna, you'll find an excellent dinner, while flamenco and international stage show bursts with life-around you. And the casino itself, machines that tempt fate and a variety of other games of chance: roulette, poker, blackjack. In a word, then, in Benalmádena is really all you can want to make that night special and memorable.
