Extension of the Technology Park of Andalucía Marbella

With the success of Andalusia Technology Park (Parque Tecnológico de Andalucía) in Malaga, Andalusia has declared the establishment of a new Technology Park Marbella.

Director of Innovation, Science and Enterprise Board has said that the new site covers 197 hectares on land that currently consists of 300 privately owned farms and has been designated as a â € œarea Opportunity € for the Costa del Sol in the plan of POT. The idea would be to reach public-private agreement with the participation of Marbella Town Hall and landowners, along with the regional authority for the development of the project.

Technology or industrial parks for those who are not familiar with the terms, a means of promoting small and medium businesses with the overall objective of generating economic growth, investment in an area and job creation.

The technology park of Málaga has since its opening in 1992, has grown steadily and now is now home to 375 companies covering the telecommunications, electronics, software and advanced services, and is generating over 800 million per year. Over 70% of this sum is carried out by companies related to information technology and communications.

But the Technology Park in Málaga has not only brought economic benefits but also, in collaboration with the University of Malaga, developed many advanced technologies with the participation of students, which has created a position of respect among all Spanish universities.

These parks will ultimately help increase human capital (skills and knowledge acquired by a worker through education and experience) in the region tends to increase even more foreign investment.

Thus the reason for the expansion in Marbella. Not only will it help bring economic benefits and community outreach. There will be creating and promoting a range of new career opportunities.

And of course we must not forget that the project should help act as a catalyst for real estate in Marbella. Do not forget that Marbella has been the fate of many search for a second home on the Costa del Sol high-demand cable to a substantial increase in prices, despite having had a blow in recent years, are still above the average of Spain 2009. This should help alleviate the housing market by attracting skilled workers and families in the area.

If these projections continue, not Costa del Sol only slowly begins to further diversify away from tourism, but it can make the equivalent of Málaga € ™ s â € USAA ~ € ™ Stateâ sun. Companies are drawn to Marbella to establish its headquarters in the quality of life is superior to London, Frankfurt, etc.

Malaga and is well connected internationally through Malaga airport and the TGV: all the main cities of Spain are just a few hours away.

There are of course still much to do in the Costa del Sola € ™ s infrastructure. The main projects are the continuation railway line connecting Malaga and Marbella to the expansion and improvement of communications networks.

If this project is handled properly and, unlike Malaga Park, made to attract foreign and international companies, the long-term benefits could be substantial.
