Wedding Sites and Places in Spain

Spain is the second most visited country in the world. History oozes from every corner and in the south of Spain is virtually guaranteed year round warm climate year round. Spain gives you the opportunity to have an outdoor wedding surrounded by beautiful landscapes, as well as an opportunity for all your guests to leave, take your time and have fun!

With so many options throughout the country, here is a review of the most Highlights for me. The location you choose will be more or less depend on the type of destination wedding you have in mind, but if you still havenâ € ™ t decided, this mini guide can help you get some ideas.

Malaga as a destination wedding

Malaga is an ideal choice if you are looking for a sun and sea of the wedding and the holidays, though it has many beautiful rural locations offer. Malaga has beautiful beaches, facilities modern and a good climate, not too hot â € "not too cold! sea winds are too strong in this area either, compared to more down the coast as Cadiz.

In Malaga is directed mainly towards tourism, there are many hotels to choose from, although they are more entertainment options thinner than in other Spanish cities like Seville and Granada. The most important historical monuments is only found in the main town, while coastal cities offer bars and beaches. There are, however, a lot of sea activities: taking a short cruise along the coast, diving, jet skiing or just having dinner at a restaurant in | beach € … Malaga is the glamor and class.

Ideas

Malaga offers botanical gardens for weddings. You may have the blessing, banquets and receptions. The Botanical Gardens used to be the home of a wealthy merchant family and has with a pergola with stunning views across the state. A big advantage is that you can do in the afternoon / evening weddings, perfect in summer when the sun doesnâ € ™ t established until 9 â € "10 hours.

Benalmadena, a coastal city, to offer the Bil-Bil Castle. This is a castle New construction, however, its charm lies in its location â € "virtually on the beach. You can have your ceremony and reception banquet all within the castle grounds.

Marbella has some incredible beach restaurants / lounges where you can a wedding glamorous jet-set. Many of them are large enough to have a blessing in the same field as Pangea Prive. The surprising target = "_blank"> Finca La Concepción also be found in Marbella and is one of the best wedding venues I've ever seen. The farm itself is beautiful, with a notable entry. Although it is only a short drive from Puerto Banus, as soon as you arrive at the farm feels like you're in the middle of the field, where the only sounds come from birds singing.

Byblos Hotel in Mijas is truly amazing and is available for weddings. The hotel is located in the Mijas Golf Course, with its stunning lakes and a quiet environment. Byblos is â € € œAndalusiâ inspired, the combination of Spanish and Arabic influences. This is a wonderful place to have a banquet and reception as the building itself is beautiful. The restaurant is located near the pool and you can have live music until late. Speaking from personal experience, this is an amazing hotel for your honeymoon. The rooms are luxurious, the staff make you feel like a king, is fairly quiet to sleep-and stay in bed all the time you want, and some rooms have huge bathrooms!

On the other side of the coast are Nerja, a favorite among many couples. Although a bit far from the airport, Nerja has some fantastic views, restaurants and bohemian still keeps that aspect in this regard. There are plenty guest to do here, including some unique caves where you can see ballet summer. The most impressive part of Nerja is the point of Europe, fantastic for photos. Right next to it is a great restaurant, Casa Luque, where I attended a couple of weddings. The restaurant has a huge terrace on the edge of a cliff, facing right to the sea where you can celebrate the blessing, banquet and reception.

You can create your wedding theme all over the place: for example a vintage -40 € ™ s â € "Article 50 € ™ s theme, a style that can provide great entertainment and fun. Swing was and the cat "cool" sounds of Benny Goodman, Ray Charles, Aretha Franklin and were being heard in dance halls and nightclubs everywhere. If you like the Jumpin 'and jivin the sounds of the 1940th ™ € s, along with glamor, why not plan your wedding theme around this exciting time?

A wedding in Spain not have to mean is limited in the election. Live music agencies such as The Tribute Band to provide entertainment every style party with professional musicians from around the world. Take a look at some target = "_blank"> video so you can start getting an idea of what the atmosphere you want to create during the reception.

Pros

  • Clean, accessible beaches
  • Near Airport
  • Great weather
  • Many English speakers

Cons

  • There is not much historical heritage in coastal areas
  • A car is needed to go almost everywhere – in the alternative, renting a mini-bus with driver.

Sevilla as a destination wedding

Seville was the capital of Spain until, for strategic reasons, it moved further inland to Madrid. This is the city where Columbus sailed from the scene of the romantic Carmen opera, and is in my opinion the most Spanish of all cities in Andalusia. Surrounded by monuments dating back thousands of years, huge parks and a river awesome, that will give your guests (and yourselves) the opportunity to enjoy Spain at its best. Culture and folklore come from all corners, Sevilla has the highest quality flamenco shows.

The city is very near Malaga, where a dense population of English speakers, so having a blessing in English or other languages will be no problem at all.

Ideas

Holding the wedding in a Spanish € or â € â € € œhaciendaâ œCortijoâ. œCortijosâ € â € are the typical villages of southern Spain. This may not sound very attractive at first, but in fact it is the most refined and noble of all. The families have been enriched for centuries breading horses and bulls. Photo of Cortijo.

Many of these â € € œCortijosâ specialize in weddings. This could be a great option as you can have the blessing, the banquet and reception in one place. Some even have become available hotels and accommodation in a suite for the bride and groom, spas, restaurants additional € |.

After your destination wedding of Spanish in a â € € œCortijoâ provides the basis and the topic easily. You and your guests will in an unusual environment, so it is a magical and unforgettable experience

Adding a touch

After her marriage to a Spanish theme does not mean you have to lose in adding a personal touch. By contrast, using the issue as a canvas and make the wedding truly yours. I think a wedding should reflect the personality of the bride and groom. Live music and entertainment can be very helpful here.

A gospel choir or even a classic guitarist, playing outdoors during the ceremony â € | Â Once the ceremony has finished a good way to greet your guests is more of a â € € œcocktailâ. You may be very close to the fair blessing and have the waiters serving snacks and drinks. With a swing jazz band playing in the background, keep your guests from getting bored until you get back to taking pictures, and what more can you ask: sipping champagne, outdoors under the sun, while listening Sinatraâ € ™ s target = "_blank" â € € played œLOVEâ> live!

A wedding in Spain do not have to mean flamenco dancers and Spanish songs. Live music agencies such as The Tribute Band to provide all styles of entertainment festival with professional musicians from all over the world. Check out some videos so you can start to get an idea of what you want to create the atmosphere during the reception.

Pros

  • Clean, environmentally friendly city
  • True Spanish feel to it
  • Land for guests to see and do
  • Restaurants superior quality products, not much more expensive than the rest of Andalusia.
  • Near Airport
  • Ideal for honeymoon

Cons

  • Very hot during July and August
  • Not near the sea
  • Not many English speaking service providers so communication can be hard â € "but Malaga is only a short drive and many can be booked from there.

Granada destination wedding

Granada was the capital of the â € € œAndalusiâ world, the Moorish kings who conquered and lived in Andalucia for over 700 years. With the Alhambra always present, this town is a true mixture of Jewish, Catholic, Muslim and the modern Spanish culture.

The choice of Grenada as a destination wedding offers many possibilities: Snow, and Beach City. The city of Granada, there is soil inside, although the province is running all the way to the coast. There is also a ski resort, Sierra Nevada, with the longest ski season in Europe. This gives plenty of options for organizing the evaluation activities and lots to do for your own honeymoon.

Eating in Granada is very reasonable and fun. It is a tradition in many bars across the city to get a free â € € œtapaâ every time you order a drink. University of Granada is one of the most prestigious of Spain and therefore the city has a variety of live music venues for all ages.

Ideas

Obviously the ideal option is to have your wedding close to the Alhambra, as in the old town, â € œAlbaycinâ €. The noble people who lived in ancient Granada had houses in this part of town, right next to the palace of the Alhambra. Many wonderful restaurants in the area have terraces overlooking the beautiful maze of narrow streets that cross the â € œAlbaycinâ €.

In the forests of the Alhambra, next to the â € œAlbaycinâ € and â € € œGeneralifeâ (residence of the sultans who lived in Spain) there is a wonderful Hacienda, € â € Chapitelesâ œCarmen of ideal weddings. Lovely gardens and fountains and views of a city that will not easily forget.

Another fantastic option is the â € œParador of € Alhambraâ located within the Alhambra palace itself.

Pros

  • Beautiful monuments, buildings and gardens
  • Easy to get around without cars â € "The taxis are very reasonable
  • Mixed views and activities: beach, snow and the city
  • Interesting mix of cultures

Cons

  • Very hot in July and August and very cold during December, January and February
  • Many providers do not speak English Service â € "so it is difficult to communicate. But Malaga is just a short drive and many can be booked from there.
