Visiting Spain, Andalusia and the north of Spain?

I am planning a trip to Spain in May. I am a student at the University going with some friends I learned Andalusia and Madrid (Granada, Cordoba, Seville) is nice … or northern Spain, such as Santander, Santillana del Mar, Comillas … Coast Brava, or Gijon, Salamence is the best for you? Any good places to eat and stay? Which do you recommend ..? And most important of these places

Is this your first time? I suggest Madrid / Spain. My favorite songs … I believe that the North is one …. I've done over the kind of trip South. You realize that Costa Brava and Santander are massively away from each other (in the context of Spain, that is)? They really do not make a good combination. Salamanca is a kind of isolated from everything else. That works well with "I've done the South and North have done, now what …?" tour. (Especially if you're only going for a week or two goes well … with Merida and the Portuguese border zone … perhaps Porto and Fatima.)
